A Long Wait

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged on the ViralFilmVideo.com site.  A re-designed website, several new projects started and completed, a presidential Election and a few other exciting things have happened.  We’ve also seen a few other potential projects slip between our fingers, but I’d rather focus on the positive.   The new office space on 18th is pretty much finished, except for the painting of some  of the trim around the doors, a little electric work that I’m waiting on budget clearance and finishing the mystery room adjacent to my office.  If you haven’t seen it yet it’s about 20 feet by 20 feet, perfect for so many purposes but most recently and currently a storage room for all of the supplies and equipment from the move.  As each week goes by we take a few things out and see some of the potential of the space.  Recently, when the storage closet was finished all of the office supplies moved out and even more potential exposed.  Eventually the room, that still has a pass through to my office will be most likely rented to someone in the industry, but in the mean time, we’ll likely finish the room and create a set for a new set of videos.  The videos, which are still in the planning stage take place in an office setting, but are more original than the setting suggests.  More news to follow.

BraTherapy.com Viral Campaign

Friday, September 26th, 2008

ViralFilmVideo.com has completed a viral campaign for BraTherapy.com, a website dedicated to authentic womens’ issues concerning their bra’s.  What sounded like a dream job, turned out to be very entertaining, in most part because the clips, featuring stand up performer Julianna Forlano (www.JuliannaForlano.com) turned out great and she was as entertaining off camera as she was on.  The series of clips feature Julianna interviewing (mostly) women on the street and asking them impromptu questions about their bras.  A combination of light comedy and serious subjects that aren’t often talked about in public proved to be quite titillating.

Assisted Living Premiere at Chicago Pilot Competition

Friday, September 26th, 2008

The Web Series “Assisted Living” premiered in SitCom Pilot form at the historic Music Box Theater as part of the Chicago Comedy Pilot Competition. Following in the footsteps of “Pitchman’s” success at last years Competition “Assisted Living” was shown on the big screen to a captivated audience.  As luck would have it, I was not able to attend the premiere on account I was in Los Angeles, but word on the street was that the theater was packed and it received a fifteen minute standing ovation.

Website Updates

Sunday, March 9th, 2008

We’ve updated the ViralFilmVideo.com website this weekend adding over a dozen new pages, most of which display the new and old content we’ve created. Now when you link from a clients logo you’ll go to one of our new pages that shows the spots in better resolution than what you would have seen on websites such as YouTube or Blip.tv. This week we’ll add more pages and hopefully be able to list content pages for some of our previous work so when we have a potential client we can send them links to specific work that might better apply to their company.

Next up, we’ll try to get a better system in place for sending mass e-mails to advertising agencies and people on our mailing list. Hopefully HTML pages that don’t look too professional will start to get some results. If you have received an e-mail recently you can judge for yourself the results. To receive e-mail updates from us in the future send us a note with your info and we’ll add it to our list.

New Music

Sunday, March 9th, 2008

We recently expanded out library of music for commercials and viral video so look for some new tracks in our upcoming releases. Not everyone can afford original music for their spots so it’s great to be able to continually add music to our growing library. I was recently editing the TV spots for SugarDaddyArrangement.com and realized how important the music was for that when we replaced the temp track with a catchy new song. Hopefully we’ll post the videos soon so you can see and HEAR for yourselves.

“Sugar Daddy” shoot

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

We finished filming yesterday a shoot for a Sugar Daddy website that is coming soon to connect rich men with young attractive women and it was a lot of fun.  The spot features a chance meeting on the street between an older man and a young blonde jogger.  The original challenge was the weather and the cold Chicago winter.  As luck would have it, the weather warmed up to a balmy 48 degrees and we were able to film.  With snow still on the ground however, we changed the location from a park to a ciy street which actually fit the script much better in my opinion.  I’ll post some photos soon and announce when the spot and site become live.  Stay tuned.
